How It Works
Step 1
The facility schedules a Community Technology Clinic with a format that fits the community.
Step 2
Residents can bring compatible portable devices or request help with an in-room issue when arranged through the community.
Step 3
The technician performs a free initial health check or the selected low-cost service and explains what is happening in plain language.
Step 4
More involved work receives an upfront discounted resident quote before anything is performed.

Important Policies
Residents pay the listed service price for fixed-price services. A separate diagnostic fee is not added to the same fixed-price service.
Residents approve paid work before it begins, and gratuities are never expected. Parts, replacement hardware, cables, storage devices, paid applications, software licenses, subscriptions, cloud-storage charges, shipping, and third-party fees are additional unless specifically stated. Prices apply only to participating residents during approved community events or authorized follow-up service. Prices may be adjusted when the device, condition, required parts, accessibility, or complexity falls outside the listed service, and starting prices or quotes must be approved before work begins.
Proof of ownership or identification may be required before resetting a protected device, assisting with account recovery, or accessing protected information. Residents should enter passwords themselves whenever practical, and The Computer Doctor does not retain customer passwords.
The Computer Doctor does not bypass passwords, activation locks, stolen-device protections, account-provider security systems, or device theft protections.
Account recovery, data recovery, malware removal, ransomware recovery, and repair of failing devices cannot be guaranteed. Data transfer applies when the original device or drive is functioning and the files are accessible. Deleted, corrupted, inaccessible, physically damaged, clicking, dropped, or severely failing drives may require a separate evaluation or referral to a specialized recovery provider.
Microsoldering, motherboard component-level repair, soldered charging-port repair, HDMI-port soldering, board-level phone repair, board-level console repair, and component-level television repair are not offered. Liquid-damage repair is not offered, and The Computer Doctor does not install new electrical circuits, breakers, outlets, transformers, or line-voltage wiring.
